I’m trying to make sure I get out and visit with all of our District 29 residents by attending City Council meetings in each of our towns that are situated in District 29. I’ve already been to Alvin, Brookside Village, Iowa Colony, and Manvel, and will be at the next Pearland meeting as well. Not only have I met some great people, but I’ve had the opportunity to talk with residents of those towns about the issues that concern them and that they believe their State Representative can assist them with. Now, that is what makes public service so important and so gratifying! And for me, it is this type of grassroots contact that keeps me aware of what you – the taxpayer – are focused on. If I’ve missed you at one of these meetings, you can always e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org or even call me at (281) 393-2056. I may not always have the answer, and you may not even like the answer I give you, but I give you my word that I will listen to your concern and do what I can to find a solution to the problem. So many times it just appears that our elected officials are deaf to our needs, and I promise to always remember that I work for you (as it should be with ALL of your elected officials)!
We won the Saddle Up Texas Straw Poll for Texas House District 29!! Thank you to everyone who helped put it on and thank you to everyone who voted for me!! This is just the beginning of a process which is going to help us change the way Austin works. I can’t wait until the real election!! Hopefully the results will be just as good if not better! Once again thank you all so much for your support!
Yesterday, we received word that the National Rifle Association of America Political Victory Fund announced it gave me an A Rating for the 2012 Primary Election, based on my positive responses to their NRA-PVF candidate questionnaire.
I am a Christian, a conservative, a wife, a mother, former teacher, a small business owner, a gun-owner, and a taxpayer who considers herself blessed to have been born in the USA and raised with the basic values of God, home, and country, and a fierce supporter of our 2nd Amendment rights.
We are in full campaign mode and absolutely LOVING IT!!! My campaign crew and I have been attending lots of events and blockwalking all over District 29. The response has been great, and the encouragement from District 29 voters has surpassed my wildest expectations! Thank you, District 29 – I cannot wait to represent YOU, the TAXPAYER, in Austin in 2013!
Monday, November 28, was the first day that candidates could file for a place on the Primary ballot for the upcoming March 6 Election Day. Debra Rosenthal-Ritter, a Conservative Republican candidate from Alvin, filed the appropriate paperwork to run for the Texas House of Representatives District 29 seat which includes Alvin, Manvel, and Pearland.
Debra and her husband, B.J., have been Brazoria County residents for 19 years and have three sons ranging in age from 29 to 10. Debra currently owns and operates her own small business as a Certified Financial Planner Practitioner (CFP®), assisting individuals and other small business owners in their financial planning concerns. She and her family are members of the First United Methodist Church, Pearland, and while Debra is an active member of both the Alvin Area Republican Women and the Alvin TEA Party Patriots, she has never run for or held an elected office before. Debra is proud to admit that she is NOT a career politician, and feels that her educational background and the professional experience she brings to this race are the qualifications that make her the best Conservative choice to represent the citizens of Brazoria County in the Texas House of Representatives where she vows to “Put Taxpayers First”. Debra can be reached at email@example.com or by phone at (281) 393-2056, and welcomes the opportunity to speak – and to listen – to Brazoria County citizens and voters.
As we join together with family and friends during this uniquely American holiday of Thanksgiving, please don’t forget those who have come before us, those who are no longer with us, and those who have bravely served our country and kept America the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” God has so richly blessed America and it is our duty as Patriots to fight for what is right and to never allow “political correctness” to mask the intentions of those who don’t share in our dream for an America where our children will be able to enjoy the same liberties we grew up with. We will accept nothing less in our attempt to keep America the land of opportunity for all our citizens. From our home to yours, “Happy Thanksgiving”, and may God continue to Bless America!
Beginning in 2012, there will be a new election cycle for all National, State, and Local elections. Are you registered to vote? Is your address up-to-date?
Texas primary elections will be held on March 6, but in order for you to be eligible to vote in this election, you must be registered to vote by February 6.
Don’t delay! Registration and address changes are easy to do and take just a minute of your time. You can either download the application online at
and then mail it in, OR you can pick up an application at most post offices, libraries, Texas Department of Public Safety offices, and Texas Department of Human Services offices.
Remember, if you don’t vote, then don’t complain later on when elected officials don’t perform up to your standards! Voting is a privilege, so please register and then GET TO THE POLLS DURING EARLY VOTING OR ON ELECTION DAY! YOUR STATE AND YOUR COUNTRY NEED YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ELECTORAL PROCESS!
Although Veteran’s Day is one of the most important holidays of the year, in our home and in our family, we celebrate and honor American Veterans EVERYDAY !!! This year, we are blessed to honor all of our military veterans in a very special way by asking them to join us this coming Friday night, November 11, for a special tribute to their service. This event will be held in conjunction with my campaign fundraiser at Billy’s Hall, (4060 Wells), in Pearland from 6:00 – 10:00 pm.
We invite all veterans and their families to join us for a spaghetti dinner, music, dancing, and a patriotic salute to our true American heroes – the Veterans! We will also have both a live and a silent auction with over 60 great items waiting on your bid! See you Friday night for a truly American experience and veterans eat FREE !!! God Bless America, Debra
I’ll be at the TEA Party Rally on Tuesday, October 25. I want to hear from YOU — what are your concerns? What do you want in a leader? Are you ready to help me in my efforts of “Putting Taxpayers First“? Hope to see you there!
